Celebrating 50 Years.

 

Founded in 1976 by Walid Abushakra, Esol Education is an international school network headquartered at Dubai Knowledge Park, UAE. The organization operates 10 schools across six countries: UAE, Bahrain, Hong Kong, Egypt, Cyprus, and Lebanon. Esol also has a strategic stake in the American University of Bahrain, collectively serving 12,500 students from over 100 nationalities.

Each Esol school follows an American or British curriculum and is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA) and/or the Council of International Schools (CIS). Nine of the ten schools are designated IB World Schools. Esol's educators benefit from centralized professional development, shared expertise across the network, and organizational support that allows school leaders to focus on what matters most: students, learning, and community.

Esol Education's founding purpose, providing an outstanding education for every student in every school, remains unchanged after 50 years. In 2026-2027, we mark half a century of that commitment.
