Chairman's Message

For more than 50 years, Esol Education has grown alongside the students, families and communities it serves. Chairman and Superintendent Walid Abushakra reflects on the principles that have guided Esol since its founding in 1976, and the people who continue to bring those principles to life across our schools.

For over five decades, we have been part of the lives of thousands of families across the Middle East, East Asia, and the Mediterranean. Generations of Esol graduates have gone on to study at leading universities in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and beyond, to build lives and careers that reflect the values, knowledge, and character their schools helped shape.

Esol Education exists because of the people in it: the teachers who give their best every day, the school leaders who build communities around learning, and the students and families who place their trust in us. We take this seriously.

Our commitment has not changed since we established the first Esol school in 1976. We set out to provide a genuinely excellent international education, one that is rigorous, caring, and focused holistically on the needs of the whole child. Every investment we make, every school we open, and every educator we support is guided by that same purpose.
