American International School in Egypt - West Campus opened in 2009 in Sheikh Zayed City, extending AIS Egypt's reach across Cairo. The campus serves students from Kindergarten through Grade 12 through an American college preparatory program, with the IB Diploma Programme in the senior years. West Campus graduated its first class in 2014.
West Campus shares the same mission as Main Campus: "Connect, Empower, Lead." Together, the two campuses form one of the largest American curriculum school communities in Egypt.
West Campus places a strong emphasis on real-world, hands-on learning, including a working hydroponic greenhouse where students grow, harvest and distribute crops through an NGSS-aligned curriculum. West Campus participates in global sustainability initiatives, including the CGE Education Decarbonize program, and students attend United Nations COP Climate Change conferences around the world.
West Campus alumni include Hamza Abdelkarim, who became the first Egyptian footballer to join FC Barcelona, moving to Barca Atletic in February 2026.
